Notebook file is labeled "Read Only"; How do I return it to Read/Write?

Postby mistasz3 » Tue Apr 06, 2021 8:11 pm

OS: Win 10 Home v. 20H2
CN: v. 3.13 PRO License
Focus: Main Window

The backup copy of this particular Notebook .db file, previously saved, has about 590 note entries and is not read-only. If I add one more note to this file, any note whatsoever, the title bar changes from:

References, General - history_database - Cintanotes

to

References, General - history_database(read only) - Cintanotes

and I can add no more notes. The .db file is now locked for editing. (Note: The file is not tagged as read-only in the OS, but it is within CN.)

How do I release the notebook "Read Only" lock in CN?

Hello and sorry for such late reply!

This title means that SQLite engine considers the database read-only.
Generally adding notes should not make database read-only, this is very strange.
The only possible reason I can think of, is that the db file might have become corrupt.
Please try creating a new notebook and re-importing your old notebook into it - does that help?
