I have just installed Cintanotes and know that it is going to be very useful, but I find that the search facility is not working for me. Can you suggest something I may have disabled during installation.
Regards, Bill.

Re: Search Facility
Can you elaborate on what exactly is not working in what way?

Re: Search Facility
Hello, search will find a word in an open note, but not in any other, which makes it unable to find an unopened note.

Re: Search Facility
Click on view then note appearence change Preview text lines to 10 Click OK
Create 3 notes
1st Text = ABC
2nd Text = AXY
3rd Text = XYZ
Now make sure you have no notes open
in search box type A. All occasions of A should now be highlighted
In search box Type ABC one occasion of ABC should be highlighted
In search box type XY two occasions of XY should be highlighted
In searchbox type XYZ one occasion Should be highlighted
If that all works as I have said then there is nothing wrong with search. If it does not work then tell me where it fails and what version number of CN you are using

Re: Search Facility
Thank you, all search tests worked apart from XY, when only one instance was returned.

Re: Search Facility
HMMM Xy should return 2 results. But it seems that all is working as it should. Have a bit more of a play and post again if any further problems...

Re: Search Facility
If "exact search" is off, only one instance of XY will be found because full-text search searches only from the beginning of the word.

Re: Search Facility
Thanks a million. That was the answer, and the system is now working perfectly.
