Is there or could there be way to have the first line of text become the note title?

Re: CN Note titles
In general, no. But you can set the "Options/Clipping/Use as Title/First line of text" option, which will copy first line of text to the title field when you do Ctrl+F12.
Would that fit the bill for you?

It does for clipping. Thanks Alex.

Re: CN Note titles
Been using this useful tool for last 12 months and this is a question that I have always thought of asking!
When entering a new note by hand rather than by Ctrl-F12, the curser always is in the main text box and not in the title box.
Is it possible to start the entry in the title box?

Yes. Set the "editor.focus.title" parameter in the cintanotes.settings file to "1".

Re: CN Note titles
Alex, this is the second time this question is asked in the forum. Imo the default should be the title. Also this is just such an important option it should be possible to change it using a gui setting.

Hi Thomas,
yes, I agree. Will do in 1.8.3.
But please note that although the default with change from "0" to "1", the value in an already existing cintanotes.setting file won't change.
So only new installations will be affected by this change.
