Why CN has to be so fugly - no matter what color I pick it's all grey and unappealing.
White is grey, black is grey, blue is blue tinted grey....
All is really painful to look at.
I wish I could choose my own colors - make all white and clean.

It's already on the roadmap. You can vote for it here http://roadmap.cintanotes.com/topic/319 ... omization/

"updated 2 years ago"

Yeah... not holding me breath ;)

Even option via config file with #XXXXXX would be good (for now)

Section bar makes it look even worse - I'm afraid many users who install CN and see this grey-fest:

will uninstall it quickly and never look back.
(this supposed to be blue BTW - blue theme and sections)

Like it or not (clean) look is quite important. Why do you think people are so in love with apple

Hi ibxt,

thanks for your opinion. With version 2.0 we've put functionality a bit ahead of aestetics, but
with the next versions this should improve - we are considering hiring a professional designer.
If you'd provide a screenshot with colors you'd like to see, this will increase the probability
that you'll like the update.

Also we'll increase the priority of the custom color scheme task - and though I can't promise
it will be in the next version, it might be there sooner that you think.

Great! :D

I was thinking something more like:

But I guess it not just the colors but also the fact that all is a bit flat.

I like the way apps look on iOS/android e.g.

and especially:

(the sidebar not the ring binder thingy)

Even grey elements look nice because of the shades, pastel colors etc.

Hiring professional designer would be a great idea :)

ixbt,
thanks for your input!
Good news: we've already hired a designer and he has started working :)

I don't think the interface is ugly at all. Its very clean. But it can be difficult to tell which note is coming from which section when using "All".

Keep in mind that 10% of males are color blind. There should be a way to detect which section a note is coming from without depending on color.

Thanks for your input, Mark! We are currently working with a professional designer and I'll pass this on to him.
